In March 2010, Harry Norman, Realtors released a redesigned website. The new website includes a large flash rotation box to feature exceptional properties, large call out boxes, and a simplified navigation bar at the top. Along with the design, the new website features a new and improved property search, Quick Search, and client portal.

The redesign took over a year and a half to complete and began with a website design committee comprised by agents, brokers, management, staff and myself. It was my job to convey design changes, content and mockups to website programmers. After the initial design was created, all future graphics were provided by me. Since the redesign release, the current website receives over 56,000 unique visitors, over 2 million page views, and over 30% new visitors each month. View Site

Along with a new website design, each subsequent page was reworked into the new design and color scheme. There are over 370 corporate content pages (many that are not accessible from the main navigation bar) which have been transferred to the new website design. View Example

Agent Websites

Agent Websites

There are over 1,100 active agents at Harry Norman, Realtors. Each agent has their own website on HarryNorman.com. Agents are given the opportunity to change their websites through a custom administration website. Agent websites are designed so that once one visits their page, it would be difficult to navigate away from their branded site. This is so that all possible leads are funneled to the agent.

I provide tech support, guidance and tutoring for agents. Here is an example of a page that I built for an agent. I incorporated their personal branding with the Harry Norman corporate branding and utilized all valuable space above the fold to the satisfaction of the agent. View Example

The main feature which visitors come to HarryNorman.com is search for properties in the state of Georgia and Southern North Carolina. Our goal is to make searching for a home easy, fast, and accurate.

One of the reasons why HarryNorman.com is popular for searching for homes is due to the large amount of properties available to search from. Many similar companies in our market area only subscribe to the two most popular Multiple Listing Services (MLS - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiple_Listing_Service), while Harry Norman subscribes to seven boards strategically placed around Georgia and North Carolina.

Unfortunately, typical MLS data structure is not regulated so each one has its own way of defining each field and location. We have to create a common table to help interpret fields and locations. Some smaller MLS boards update once a day and other popular ones allow us to access the data every few hours. We also have to abide by IDX/Broker Reciprocity rules in order to display their data on our website. Some MLS boards have very strict rules and we must incorporate those display rules in our property search results and property details pages. View Example

In addition to having a website geared for customers, we also have an administration site built for agents and staff to control listing data and updating agent websites called the Agent Productivity Tool (APT). The APT is a unique content management system with profile permissions, listing control and website content control.
